I can't believe how challenging this 8 session has been. In a lot of ways it's hard to believe that it will be over on Friday. I have come to realize that in this class and in many others what I have learned just is scratching the surface with what I will need as a professional counselor. I know that I will be studying and learning each and every day... from books and from my clients. I'm very excited to continue this adventure.
I also want to make note how much I appreciate all of the sacrifices Cindy has made to make this graduate school a reality. There were and are many nights where I am upstairs or out studying somewhere. I've also had more Sunday nights where I stayed up until midnight than what I'd like to admit. I've very much appreciated Cindy and what she's done to make this a reality. There is no way that I would have been willing to quit my job to go to school full time (while working only about 20 hrs at Starbucks) with out Cindy's encouragement. So, I know I tell you this all the time, but "thanks Cindy, you're awesome!
There's more to the story... feel free to ask, but that's all for now.

Ran today
So today was the first day I ran in probably two weeks. I'm running in the Balloon Race in Hershey in June so I better crack the whip ;o).
It's interesting... running is something that I genuinely enjoy doing... once I actually get out there and do it. I've also realized that it's much easier when you have someone to converse with while running. I enjoy this on many levels since I'm more relational than many of the guys I know.
Regardless, I need to get out there and run and do it early and often. My goal is to get closer to 25 minutes in the balloon chaser race which means I need to have much more endurance and speed than I currently possess. It's possible, I just need to push a little.
It was cool today... I ran with my buddy WL with whom I ran the Harrisburg Half with last year. Instead of driving a little over a mile to get to him I ran (most of it) and then walked home. It was great and it extended my 3 mile run with WL into about 5 miles and I saved a little bit of gas and hassle with all of the traffic.
