I found an article by John Piper regarding his cancer. For me my "cancer" is my brother's suicide, parents divorce and mom moving to North Carolina. Check out Piper's article here.
Brighteyes, I'll be praying for you and your mom as you adjust to this move. Eight hours isn't too far, you can still be there in a day if you needed to be. Its tough though, I know. I'll pray for you as I drive home every day.
