So I'm little bit over half way on my two courses for this 8 week session. I am not one to complain, but I've had a terrible time keeping up with everything. I think the biggest factor is that my course COUN 646 Psychopathology is tapping into an area where I have not studied much in the past. We are talking about disorders and the DSM-IV-TR. It is very complicated stuff, but I am learning a ton...
I also mentioned earlier on facebook that I had a very challenging situation with time management and how to balance everything in my life. I was trying to study to help people while my own life was unbalanced... not a good thing. However with the help of some friends advice and my wife helping me develop a new system I think I finally have something that is working for me.
I know that in addition to doing everything I can with school I am a guy who likes relationships. I have several guys with whom I like to meet with on a regular basis for encouragement and prayer. I know that if this doesn't happen then I am in trouble.
In addition, I have been trying to learn how to best relate and develop my marriage as well. Alongside COUN 646 I am taking COUN 603 which is called Marital/Premarital counseling. I am learning a lot of different strategies to help develop intimacy in my relationship with Cindy.
