Long run 6/12/10 pt 1

The plan this morning is to run to city Island at my half marathon pace (much slower). I'm meeting friends on the other side of the walking bridge. That distance is about 2.5 miles. Then I'll run whatever we can run together (with the baby) which will probably be about 2 miles or so. Then I can run back home (another 2 miles). This will make it so I do 6.5 miles. Either way, I think I'll map my run to see exactly how far it is.

In regards to a GPS running watch I have been considering this for about a year. Last year I said no because, well it was expensive and I don't like spending a lot of money on really anything. I also wanted to make sure that I was serious about this running thing. So I think I am, but time is the only thing that will really tell the story. I'll write about my running experience either today or tomorrow. I'm taking Sunday off from running so I'll have a little bit of time to post about this "long run" experience.
